Welcome to the great global family IAKU !!!

It is an honor and a pleasure to reach you, members of the karate world and martial community, with this new organization that after its foundation, in the end of the year 2018, we have managed to capture the interest of the entire Budo community

It is simple, the need to the creation of a world organization, in which the Karate styles were separated into Katas (Shotokan, Goju, Shito, Wado, Shorin, Kyokushin etc.) and Kumite was represent in Shobu Ippon and in Shobu Sanbon, was really necessary.

Also and not least, English is the official language of IAKU and its continental organizations will have English and the most spoken language in their continent…

We will achieve through IAKU, high quality events with much lower costs that will mame tose organizations thai couldn’t travel assiduously to América, Europa, Asia Africa, or Oceania, could be an event with much lower costs to travel at the best technical and organizational level, with one world championship every two years, for justly no overburden the officials’ and atletics’ travels…

We will have with teachers references an first level technician who will perform sport and traditional courses, with the presence so important of the Kobuda…

Finally you know that it will be an independent and without politician ideology organization. Will be received all styles and organization that accredite its democratic and sports character and who believe that Karate-Do is the start and the path we must follow…

We hope that all member, official or athletic of IAKU give samples of its Budo in this beautiful marcial art that our one, what is KARATE-DO…

ABOUT I.A.K.U

Founded

In the year 2018 Position/Condition The International Amateur Karate Union, IAKU, is a non-political, non-profit and without limit of duration world organization which in its statute it has the format of a legal entity.

Purpose

The purpose of IAKU is moderate, disseminate y promote the Karate, in the five continents, front the point of view educational, cultural and sports, through the ethics of the Karate, the technician seminaries, the events or championships and all the necessary for the disseminate of Karate-Do around the world, will be dedicated to the promotion of friendly and beneficial relationships between members and all the communities and countries.

521 members and 94 countries.

Criterion to be a member of IAKU

To be a non political and non profit federation. So the organs and members of an organization will be members of IAKU. To must have legal personality, to have a democratic structure and achieve the objectives of IAKU

Championships

IAKU will carry out its first world championship, for all categories, in country and place to agree, during the course of the year 2021.

Advantage for your Federation

IAKU is conformed for its continental confederation, which accept more than one federation for country.

IAKU divides some of its main categories in the different, more important and internationally recognized styles with their own style judges.

IAKU is divided into two combat systems: Shobu Ippon and Shobu Sanbon, with their own system judges.

IAKU accepts more than one Federation per country and generate cordial and friendly relationships among its affiliates.

IAKU divides some of its main categories in the different and more important and recognized internationally styles, like Shotokan, Goju Ryu, Shito Ryu, Wado Ryu. Shorin Ryu, Kyokushin, etc. And each style with its own style judges and interstyles categories

IAKU is dividided in two combat systems: Shobu Ippon y Shobu Sanbon, with its own system judges.

IAKU ventures deeply in the Kobudo competition, duly regulated.

IAKU starts its story with its officials language English.

IAKU generates events (courses / seminaries) and high level and technical quality competitions, and everybody know that within each continent: América, Europa, Asia, Africa and Oceanía, it is much simpler and less expensive to travel with officials and competitors of their own continent.

IAKU represents to 83 countries to 5 continents and doesn’t belong with any existing world karate organization.

IAKU accepts like members to adherent partners in all continents.

IAKU has developed an International Sector of “Associated Martial Arts” into its structure.

IAKU has impulse the “Adapted Karate” or “Para Karate”.
